Curriculum Vitae

I began my studies in Art History at the University of Geneva and continued with painting and drawing courses at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, where I focused mainly on the old Flemish Masters technique.

Being married to a diplomat gave me the opportunity to live in various countries and to attend ateliers of famous painters (in Athens, Geneva, Stockholm and Paris). I worked and presented my paintings not only in Athens but also in several other cities such as Geneva, Brussels, Paris, or Stockholm.

In 2004, following a proposal made by a French Senator, 30 of my paintings were presented in Paris, in a personal exhibition in the French Senate. The exhibition was titled “Endless Horizons” and took place under the auspices of the President of the Senate, Christian Poncelet. Senators Daniel Goulet and Marc Massion inaugurated it.

In 2004 I also participated in the creation of the longest painting in the world based on the theme “The vision of Europe in the 3rd Millennium”. The project was initiated with the occasion of the accession of the Czech Republic to the European Union and has been placed under the auspices of the President of the country’s Senate. It will be permanently exhibited in the “Vojna Memorial” Museum of Contemporary Art in the town of Pribram. Due to its size, it will be also listed in the Guinness Book of Records.

In 2005, my painting “Rising in the air” was auctioned by the well known Swedish Auction House “Bukowskis”, after a special presentation for the public, journalists, art critics, etc. The revenues were offered to the foundation “Doctors Against AIDS” which operates under the patronage of H.R.H. Princess Lilian of Sweden.

Some of my paintings can be found in private collections around the world, such as those of the Museum of the city of Athens, of H.R.H. Princess Lilian, of French senators, of the Greek “Alpha Bank”, and in various other ones in Athens, Paris, Brussels…

On my canvases, I try not only to convey my feelings, experiences, and thoughts, but also to touch the heart of the spectator and to invite him to share all these feelings with me because as Renoir said “there are enough annoying things in life, so there’s no need to create even more through our art”.
